Mike Estler’s 2011 Reel

This reel is a collection of work done on primarily in narrative short film. Projects range from simple mixing and noise reduction to detailed sound design, sync, and recomposition. Some clips were arranged and edited to highlight work done in each film. However, those that are left to their full running times were projects that were composed from almost nothing. All work incorporated the use of a Pro Tools workstation. Techniques include: foley recording, sync audio, EQ manipulation, use of X-Noise plug-ins, and sound design. It is my hope that you find them imaginative, balanced, and enjoyable.
